I have some queries regarding my policy

Is childbirth covered?

Yes, on our plans with hospital cover, except Sanitas International Students. If you are not already pregnant then all the tests leading up to the birth and the childbirth itself are covered. If you are already pregnant before becoming a member, you will not be covered for the birth itself, but you will be covered for the ante-natal care, so all the routine tests and scans leading up to the birth would be covered. The outpatient plans (Sanitas Accede, Sanitas Avanza and Sanitas Unico) do not cover childbirth.

What kind of diagnostic tests are included?

Our plans cover all types of diagnostic tests, with two exceptions among the outpatient plans. Sanitas Accede does not cover complex tests such as MRI or CT scans, and among complex tests Sanitas Unico covers only ultrasounds, MRI and CT scans. All diagnostic tests must be outside of the one-off qualification periods, However, some diagnostic tests require, in addition to the prescription of a Sanitas doctor, an "express" or "boletin" authorization.

Do I have dental coverage?

All our insurances include basic dental cover, which covers extractions, stomatologic cures derived from these and also teeth cleaning once per year, prescribed by a Sanitas dentist. You can also inform yourself using our website, in the "Sanitas Health Plans" section, of all the detailed coverage of each product and, if applicable, dental coverage.
