Sanitas Accede is the Sanitas health plan with the lowest starting premium, from €22,10 a month. It is outpatient health insurance for residents in Spain: unlimited GP and specialist visits and simple tests, with no waiting periods and co-payments capped at €290 per insured person a year. It has no hospital cover and accepts new members up to age 59.
Sanitas Accede is designed for residents in Spain who want rapid access to quality outpatient care without paying for full hospital cover. It offers affordable entry into private healthcare while keeping premiums low through a co-payment structure.
Ideal for those already covered by Spain's public healthcare system, Accede ensures shorter waiting times, nationwide access to Sanitas specialists, and essential diagnostic and therapeutic services. Compared to Mas Salud, it omits hospitalisation but retains the same high-quality network and customer service, making it a smart option for everyday health management and preventive care.
The plan focuses on unlimited GP and specialist visits, digital healthcare tools, and simple diagnostic tests, giving members flexibility, choice, and peace of mind.
In Spanish the plan has the same name, Sanitas Accede, and Sanitas presents it as an entry-level seguro médico, medical insurance without hospital cover that complements the public health system. It is the same plan, insured by Sanitas, part of the Bupa group, and this page describes it in English.
HealthPlan Spain is an English-speaking authorised Sanitas office in Marbella. We quote, set up and support Sanitas Accede policies in English, and the terms and conditions and the plan brochure are in English in the Documents section. Sanitas Accede is one of the Sanitas plans with co-payments, and you can compare all 15 Sanitas plans side by side.

What is a co-payment on Sanitas Accede?
With Sanitas Accede, you only contribute when you actually use a service. Each visit or test carries a modest co-payment that helps maintain one of the lowest monthly premiums in Spain. These amounts apply per insured person and reset every policy year. Once your total co-payments reach the annual ceiling, every other covered service for the rest of the year is free of charge.
Below is the full co-payment schedule for Sanitas Accede, including the annual cap:

*One co-payment per course of treatment: 10 physiotherapy sessions, 15 ventilation therapy sessions, 30 days of oxygen therapy or 15 days of aerosol therapy. The same applies to 30 days of bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.
**Services are calculated per insured person per year. If the insured person reaches the annual co-payment limit, Sanitas covers the remainder; no additional co-payments apply for the rest of the policy year. The cap resets at renewal.
Quick example: If you make 2 GP/specialist visits (€5 each), 1 emergency visit (€8), and 2 diagnostic tests (€12 + €12), your total co-payments would be €42 so far. Sanitas sets a yearly co-payment maximum of €290 per insured person - if your co-payments go over €290 in that year, anything above €290 is covered by Sanitas, so you don't pay any more co-payments until the policy renews.
