The cost of petrol in Spain has been rising steadily since January with the average cost per litre of unleaded now costing around €1.84.
This is over almost 30 cents per litre more than the price at the start of the year when the price was around €1.56. A rise of 20% in just a couple of months!
With the cost of fuel rising almost daily, it’s a good idea to shop around and find the cheapest petrol station in your region.
Filling up at a lower price can save you up to €15-20 per tank.
As an example, if you were to fill a 55-litre tank with the cheapest petrol at €1,437/L, this would cost you €79.03. The same fill-up would cost €96.74 when filling up with the most expensive fuel at €1,759/L.
So finding the cheapest fuel in this example would save you around €17.
