Spain’s national police have warned the public of a new cash machine scam that is on the rise across the country.
In a recent social media update, the national police stated that they had seen an increase in a new form of scam being used, where a device is placed over the ATM card reader slot.
When a bank card is inserted by a customer, the fake device collects the cards data via the magnetic strip located on the back of the card.
The customers account details including pin numbers are then stored and used to gain access to the bank account.
National police have advised those using cash machines to do the following.
