What is the importance of including worldwide cover with my policy?

One of the most important considerations when making a trip or traveling abroad for any reason is to make sure that you have suitable travel insurance. In many countries it is an entry requirement, and in many others, it is a wise precaution due to the high cost of paying for treatment privately. For peace of mind we offer various options for you to choose from.

What should worldwide health insurance cover?

It is important that your worldwide policy covers all possible eventualities so that you are not left in a situation where you cannot receive treatment or where you have to pay for expensive services. Your plan should cover consultations with a general doctor or specialists, diagnostic tests, nursing services and most importantly, admissions to hospital, especially emergency admissions. Hospital admissions should include surgical procedures.

Access to all medical specialties: access to specialist doctors for specific situations as well as to those who deal with the initial emergency.

Surgical procedures and diagnostic tests included: not all international health insurance includes this type of coverage, but taking a policy without this cover could leave you with a bill to pay out of pocket.
