The prestigious Hospiten in Estepona joined the Sanitas network of hospitals on 5th December 2011. Conveniently located just off the main carretera in Estepona on the Costa Del Sol, the hospital boasts state of the art medical facilities in the most comfortable surroundings.

The Hospiten group started life over 40 years ago, when the first of the group´s clinics was founded in Puerto de la Cruz, Hospiten Tenerife. In the years that followed, facilities were inaugurated throughout the Canary Islands and into mainland Spain, as well as on the other side of the Atlantic in Mexico.

Hospiten Estepona is a thoroughly modern facility, equipped with 72 beds, including 6 Intensive Care beds, 4 operating theatres, a delivery room for childbirth, separate outpatient and emergency departments and CAT and MRI scanners. The patient rooms are very comfortable, having views of the sea or mountain and all have private bathrooms and individual temperature controls.

In 2009, Hospiten Estepona attended to 17,500 emergencies, 1,300 operations and 377 births, as well as all the regular diagnostic and outpatient tests and appointments. The staff are friendly and highly trained and the majority speak English.
